50 Marathons/50 States

I remember when the thought of running more than five miles seemed daunting an unattainable (some days a three mile run still feels that way). I do not remember the day I decided to set a lifelong goal of running 50 marathons in 50 states. I do remember the idea evolving in 2015 after completing my first full IRONMAN. Not sure if I was looking for the next challenge or if I just completely lost all my marbles somewhere along the IRONMAN Texas course that year. However, the lifelong goal currently remains. My current plan is to race two marathons a year (as life permits).

Completed:

  1. Florida – Tallahassee Marathon 2014 and 2015 (5:10:17, 4:45:45)
  2. Louisiana – Rock n Roll, New Orleans 2015 (4:46:37)
  3. Texas – IRONMAN Woodlands, Texas 2015 (6:45:32)

  8. South Carolina – Charleston Marathon 2018 (5:02:13)
  9. Georgia – Flowerfest Marathon, Callaway Gardens (4:48:23)
