TRIBOX Product Review: Veggie-Go’s

Chewy Fruit & Veggie Snack by Veggie-Go’s

carrot_drawing_1

I had planned to try the Veggie-Go before or after one of my workouts this past week, but never got around to it. The package was stuffed in my gym bag, left in my car one day (by the way, I live in South Georgia and I am sure that temps in the car get over 120°F), was put in my running belt during a long run one day, and then stuffed in my purse for a few days. TRIBOX Product Review: Honey Stinger Waffles

 Honey Stinger Waffles by HoneyStinger

Honey Stinger Lemon Waffle

Let me start by saying these are gooooooood! They are soft, sweet, thin, and delightful. It also did not survive being put in my bike bento box. While on my ride, I attempted to pull this out of my bento box with one hand, tear open with one hand and my teeth, and I petty much crushed the entire waffle. However, they are sweet and tasty and are way easier to eat than a protein bar while riding. Not being a fan of gels, the waffle is a great alternative and is more durable that attempting to put a banana in my pocket.

The waffles are sold in individual packets for $1.50 per packet, which I think is pretty reasonable.

Pros:

  • Taste amazing (definitely could have inhaled another one)
  • Moist and easy to eat while cycling
  • Organic

Cons:

  • Fragile… I mean f-r-a-g-i-l-e,  like a Christmas story leg lamp in a box
  • Contains no protein, high in fat and sugars
